Starting up an advanced compounding line for large
samples of up to, 1000lb (500kg).

Looking back at 2014, it’s quite amazing & exiting to see what we have we gone through and accomplished. We were always at the for front of break through developments for start-ups and well established companies but started with a small compounding line, basic lab equipment and some auxiliaries.
Throughout the years we have added more and more capabilities to become a world leader in compounds development collaborating with top-notch players in automotive, packaging, agri-tech, defense & aero-space, textile and more…
Always pushing the limits and defining new boundaries, adding value to our customers and promoting sustainable solutions.
Today, we are delighted to announce the establishment of a new, best of it’s kind, compounding line form Coperion Gmbh.
Our clients strive for professional infrastructure that will enable them to realize the development of their tailor made solution ideas, this is our proficiency, and in order to best support our customers, we need to be able to produce larger samples before we all feel comfortable to scale the solutions up, watch the movie

So now, we have this great capability of producing accurate and controlled batches of up to 1000lb, 500kg specifically tailored for your needs. This batch size can give you confident in scaling up even your wildest dreams.
We’ll be happy to discuss your needs, because if you can imagine it we can compound it!

Magical Bio-Degradable elastomer for the shoes & fashion industry

Plastics App has proudly developed for Balena the first biodegradable elastomer in the market.
As part of our strong commitment to sustainability and sustainable fashion, we are thrilled to announce the BioCir, a biodegradable elastomer from Balena, a young start-up led by David Roubach. David is a talented entrepreneur that had realized that recycling alone is not enough, and in order to create a true circular economy solution you must go for BioCycling.
Balena is pursuing the flexible biodegradation endeavor and we are happy to be their professional partners in developing this great material that truly biodegrade in 180 days.
BioCir is a patent pending, unique formulation soft and flexible with very special look and feel that was originally developed for the shoe and fashion industry but will find use in many other applications and most important, it is 100% biodegradable according to relevant composting standards.
We all have great ideas for this one of a kind material, and already discussing collaborations with the industry giants for biodegradable footwear. Moreover, we are at the very last stages of validating this material for 3D printing in filaments as well as pellets form – we’ll keep you posted.

SXSW2022 innovation award goes to…. UBQ & Plastics APP for their 1st waste based filament.

Once again, for the first time ever – the 1st waste based filament. A 3D printing material form unsorted solid waste.
Unsorted waste is probably one of the biggest challenges and it fills up landfills fast. UBQ, the start-up that recently raised $170M developed an up-cycled material to be used as plastic replacement. We have developed a 3D printing filament and won together the prestige innovation award at the SXSW2022, one of the most important tech-innovation award.

That’s it, for now,
Have a prosperous spring,
Yanir & Plastics App team.

STAGE 2

preparation of test specimens with relevance to the final application. Also serves a role in the processabilty evaluation and defining processing parameters of the final product.

Injection molding of samples from elastomers to high temperature materials into a temperature regulated mold. Filament production, from hundreds of grams to hundreds of kgs and printing samples for evaluation of print quality, parameters definition, and material properties. Blown film of a lab-scale bubble, to evaluate film quality and performance

STAGE 1

Twin screw extrusion of multiple samples for evaluation of composition (loading level %), processing parameters (Temp, RPM, Throughput), add-on sequence
(Main, Side, Liquid Inj) etc….

Capable of feeding pellets, powders, liquids, recycled materials and much more… Controlling the residance time, degree of mixing, and other process parameters Flexible down stream of water or air cooling for water sensitive materials
